Kirstin's New Outfit
Kirstin thinks she is the coolest kid in town with her Hannah Montana Hat and sunglasses on. She got those sunglasses because she wanted to be like her daddy. She said if daddy had whites shades then she wanted some too.Sepia Scenes

All three of my photos for Sepia Scenes this week are Niagara Falls. I went to Niagara Falls while vacationing a few summers ago. The falls are sooo beautiful...I absolutely loved my experience at Niagara Falls!! I hope you all enjoy these sepia scenes.

Cause
This picture was taken outside the Barwell County Animal Shelter. This dog is a pitbull that was fought then brought into the shelter. He was blind in one eye and very skinny when he came to the shelter. Fighting against cruelty to animals and dogfighting are a very important cause. When Winston first came to the shelter he was very scared and kind of mean. After the shelter employees worked with him he became a very sweet dog.

Nervous
I am kind of afraid of heights so when I was asked to climb this tree to take a picture I was very nervous. I was asked to climb a little higher but was too nervous!!Moody Monday

Sepia Scenes

Thursday's Daily meme I chose was art. I decided to use a child's art. Art to most adults is a perfect painting or sculpture but too a child art is something completely different.
This picture of a green tiger is a picture that my boyfriend's seven year old daughter colored. To you is make seem weird and not artistic. Kirstin told us that she was going to make this tiger look even wilder than he was. I think she succeeded at that. Really...how wild is a green tiger? To her this was a great work of art she had an idea of how to make him look wilder and she ran with it. This may just be a coloring picture but she put her heart and soul into it. I think that makes it her art!!
This is a picture that Kirstin drew at school. To most adults it looks like a child's bad drawing skills but to the child who drew it it is art. When a child draws a picture like this one they want it hung on the refrigerator for everyone to see. When a child draws, colors, paints, or makes something out of clay they have accoplished something great. To them they are the best artist in the world. I personally love it when Kirstin brings me pictures and says "Emily, I drew this for you to put on your refrigerator." A child's art can bring a smile to anyone's face.

The first thing I see in the morning is the alarm clock. I see it when I am getting up to hit the snooze button so I can go back to sleep most mornings. I am not really a morning person.

The person I see most in a week is my fiance Luke. We see eachother everyday. We are together all the time when I am not working.
5.)Your favorite shoes.
My favorite shoes are my crocs. I wear them to work. Crocs have to be the most comfortable shoes ever made.
6.)Your Favorite Meal.
My favorite meal is rice and tomatoes. I know you may be thinking that this is not a meal it is a side dish but I love rice and tomatoes so much that when it is fixed I don't want anything else.

Hmmm...I wonder....can you tell what color my eyes are from this picture?? My eyes are blue. Some people tell me that I have pretty eyes! I love my blue eyes!!

My favorite place to be on a Friday night is out with my best girlfriends. I love spending time with all of my close friends. We have such a good time. When I am out with my friends nothing else really matters we talk and laugh all night. Nothing is better than a girls night out!!

Healthcare
Who Do You Love is a site that gives you a topic each wednesday. This weeks topic is healthcare. Healthcare is one thing that is very dear to my heart.
The art of medicine consists of amusing the patient while nature cures the disease.

There are all sorts of medical facilities. Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Doctor's offices, and Rehabilitaion centers are all different medical facilities.
This is a photo of some of my co-workers at the Nursing home in our home town. This photo was taken during shift change. In most nursing homes you will find RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other medical professionals.
All medical professionals must go through training for the job they are pursueing in the medical field. I am a CNA(certified nursing assistant). In the next three photos you will see different procedures we had to learn during our training.
In this photo I am practing the correct procedure for putting on a cap, gown, mask, and gloves. You put these objects on as precautions when patients have certain illnesses.
In this photo one of my classmates is practicing taking a manual pulse while another students plays a patient.
In this photo I am getting my temperature taken. We had to learn how to use the old timey shake down mercury thermometers. Today in most facilities we use digital thermometers.
While in training we had to learn many other skills such as taking blood pressure, respirations, weight, height, and many others.

The Little Things in Life
Spending time with Family. In this photo two of my cousins, my niece, my nephew, my oldest brother, and my sister-in-law are hunting frogs. Hunting frogs may seem weird to most people but to us it was fun because we were all together while doing it.
A warm hug from someone you love. A warm hug can brighten your day when nothing else can. Hugs are often used to show remorse, friendship, and love. In this photo my brother and I are hugging after painting ourselves. This picture reminds me of how much I love my brother and how that will never change even when I don't see him often.
A child's laughter. Children are precious gifts that bring great joy to the lives of many people. In this photo my boyfriend's little girl is laying in my lap and laughing because she is being tickled. A child's laughter is pure and innocent happiness. 
A mother's love is one of the little things in life. It is never going to cease. No matter what a child will do their mother will always love them. In this photo my mother is holding me while my older brother kisses my head. My mother is the greatest woman I know...without her I would not be the person I am today.
